Have you ever heard the phrase, “become child-like again”?
What does that even mean?
I’m not telling you to be child-ish, I'm talking about becoming child-like!
Often when I coach, I quote my big brother Jesus when he said, “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.”
It is not a place he’s discussing but a way of BEING. The Kingdom exists in you, not outside of you. So what did he mean when he said to become like little toddler children?
The original design.
Let's look at some of the characteristics of children. They are:
Happy
Curious
Playful
Fearless
Helpful
Imaginative
Big dreamers
Eager to learn
Forgiving
Accepting
Unconditionally loving
See the best in everyone
Resilient
Optimistic
Decisive
Creative
Energetic
Friendly
Caring
Giving
Joyful
Worthy
Non-judgmental
Pure in thinking
All possibility
Determined
Intuitive
Just to name a few.
What would life be like for you if this is who you returned back to BEING?
And I mean return because, like every other toddler, this is who you are at your core too. You just have a harder time recognizing it in yourself because your environment made you believe that living this way is unsafe, can leave you vulnerable to get hurt, taken advantage of, etc.
However, now you live feeling inauthentic because you are not your true self. You have become callous and your heart has grown hard in order to protect yourself. You are out of integrity with who God created you to be. The child is the original design and your true nature.
See, you were born already prepared and with everything you need to create a magical life, just like an apple seed has everything it needs to become an apple tree already inside of it.
You just have to remember your true self (become like a child again) so that you may RE-MEMBER back into the Kingdom within you. From that place not only will you see how beautiful life is, but also how limitless YOU truly are.
If you are having difficulties remembering who you truly are and getting back to that version of yourself, I would encourage you to reach out and schedule a call.
I love you,
Coach Steve Bacon
